DCSL Corporate Services set to kick-off Corporate Governance Seminar in Dubai

DCSL Corporate Services Ltd in partnership with The Hawkamah Institute of Corporate Governance  is set to host a Seminar on Financial Stewardship, Accountability an Leadership, Business planning and improvement.

The two-day training which is to take place in Dubai between 12th and 13th of November 2014 will have participants from the emerging and developed economies in attendance. The Seminar is for current and aspiring Directors, Audit Committee Members and Senior Managers with Corporate Governance responsibilities and significant Board level interaction.

Highlights of the seminar include ample networking opportunities for participants as well as in-depth sessions on best practices for Financial Oversight and Reporting, Corporate Finance, the role of the Board in Internal Audit and Corporate Governance, the Control Environment, Leading, Planning and Improvement as well as the relevance of external audit to sound Corporate Governance.Other modules include mastering capital appraisal techniques, financial crisis indicators, whistle blowing and regulatory developments.

The workshop attracts a mandatory participatory fee which covers relevant reading materials, coffee breaks and lunch.

The 21st Century Internal Audit & Best Practices

The DCSL annual Internal Audit Seminar – “The 21st Century Internal Auditor & Best Practices”© comes up on 27th November, 2014. The Seminar is for Internal Auditors and Staff of Internal Control departments; Compliance Officers; Risk and Business Assurance Managers; and all those responsible for assessing and monitoring controls in companies operating in various sectors of the Nigerian economy, including banking, manufacturing, publishing, brewing, consumer goods and services, construction and oil and gas. Topics to be discussed include Reporting Responsibilities of the Internal Auditor, The Role of Internal Audit in Corporate Governance Compliance, Assuring and Maintaining the Independence of the Internal Audit Function, and Assessing the Adequacy of the Internal Control, Policies and Processes.
