Buhari in meeting with ECOWAS leaders over The Gambia

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with ECOWAS leaders to take a decision on the Gambian impasse.

Those at the meeting are the President of Sierra Leone, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the President of Senegal, Macky Sall and the immediate past President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama. Ibn Chambas, representative of the United Nations Secretary General for West Africa and the Sahel is also present at the meeting.

The meeting officially commenced at 1:15pm the presidential banquet hall of the Aso Rock. The leaders are meeting after a similar meeting held in Accra ended without a resolution on the villa.
