Access Bank has obtained “approval-in- principle” for its merger with Diamond Bank from Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Access said in a statement to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
“The scheme is also subject to the approval of the respective shareholders of Access Bank and Diamond Bank at a Court ordered meeting, as well as the sanction of the Federal High Court,”
the statement signed by Company Secretary, Sunday Ekwochi, said.
