Aisha Buhari returns to London

Wife of the President, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday left Nigeria for London, United Kingdom to visit her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari who is on medical vacation.

President Buhari has been away in London for 57 days where he is said to be receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

According to a statement from the the Office of the Wife of the President, signed by the Director of Information to the Wife of the, President Suleiman Haruna and released in Abuja on Sunday the wife of the President will make a stop over in Addis Ababa for the African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) on Monday 3rd July, 2017 before proceeding to London.

“She will convey to the President the best wishes of Nigerians and their fervent prayers for his quick recovery.
She is expected to stop over at Addis Ababa, to make a symbolic appearance at the meeting of the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) on Monday 3rd July, 2017.
“She will join other members to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the organization, and use the opportunity to reiterate the voting rights of Nigeria in the upcoming elections of the organization.
She will continue her journey to the United Kingdom on Tuesday, 3rd July, 2017” the statement read in part.

Last month Mrs. Buhari had also visited her husband in London and was reportedly not allowed to see him.
