The leadership of the National Assembly is scheduled to meet the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, today over the Petroleum Industry Bill 2020.
The bill, which proposes reform in the petroleum sector, has been transmitted by President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly.

Also expected at the meeting with the joint leadership of the National Assembly is the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mele Kyari.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan, who is the chairman of the National Assembly, is expected to preside over the meeting.
A source told BusinessDay that the presidency in the bill proposed to scrap some of the agencies in the petroleum sector and create new ones.
