The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the examination dates for the 2026 computer-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates, first series.
WAEC made this known via a post on its official X handle where the council gave the timetable outlines, the schedule of subjects, dates, and times for the examination, hence, furnishing the private candidates with the necessary information to prepare and plan accordingly.
“Here’s the timetable for the CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026, first series https://waecinternational.org/timetable/. We wish you success and a wonderful experience,” the statement reads in part.
WAEC advised the private candidates to carefully review the timetable and ensure they are fully aware of their examination dates and requirements.

Candidates are also encouraged to adhere strictly to the examination guidelines provided by WAEC to avoid any avoidable issues.
The release of the timetable marks an important milestone in the lead-up to the 2026 examination, as candidates and stakeholders begin final preparations for the upcoming assessment.
The CB-WASSCE for private candidates, first series will begin on January 28 and will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT).
The computer-based examination is part of WAEC’s ongoing efforts to modernise the examination process and improve efficiency in test administration.
