The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now print their original result slips, a document required for post-UTME screening and admission into tertiary institutions.

This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson at JAMB, who said the slips would be available for printing within two hours of the announcement.

“The 2026 UTME original result slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026,” the statement read.

According to JAMB, the document carries the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features that distinguish it from regular result printouts, making it central to the post-UTME and admission process.

“The original result slip contains the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features. It is part of the official document required for post-UTME processing and consideration by tertiary institutions,” the statement added.

The board said candidates could access the slip from any internet-enabled device, whether at home, at work, or at an accredited business centre, and advised them to verify their details immediately after printing and retain copies for subsequent admission procedures.

The development follows the conclusion of this year’s UTME cycle, which included a main examination held in April and a mop-up exercise on June 13 for candidates affected by technical glitches or biometric failures during the initial sitting. Results from the mop-up were released on Tuesday.

JAMB had earlier delayed the release of printable slips to accommodate foreign-based candidates and complete the mop-up exercise, telling candidates on May 19 to exercise patience while it finalised the process.
