The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released results for the mop-up edition of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), paving the way for the ranking of candidates ahead of the admission season.
Fabian Benjamin, the public communication advisor at JAMB, made this known in a statement on Tuesday, emphasising that candidates who sat the mop-up examination can now access their results through the board’s official result-checking platforms.
“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the board will commence the ranking of candidates,” the statement reads.
Besides, Benjamin revealed that the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend, signalling that the process is on track to meet JAMB’s admission timeline.
The board’s image maker commended candidates and other stakeholders for their patience throughout the exercise.
The mop-up examination was conducted on Saturday, June 13, 2026, as a final window for candidates who had completed biometric verification for the main UTME but were unable to sit the test due to technical glitches, biometric failures, or other disruptions recorded at some centres.
The main 2026 UTME was held nationwide between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
