Global energy technology company SLB has collaborated with ONE Campaign to install solar inverters across ten healthcare centres in Lagos, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.
The initiative ensures these facilities benefit from reliable and sustainable energy, enabling uninterrupted patient care.
The project’s completion was celebrated at an official event in Lagos, attended by representatives from SLB, ONE Campaign, government officials, community leaders, and healthcare professionals.
The project is part of SLB’s global Sustainability Impact Awards programme, which empowers local teams to deliver high-impact sustainability projects that provide tangible value to communities.
ONE Campaign identified the healthcare centres based on their urgent need for reliable energy. With SLB’s support, the ten facilities can now provide consistent, high-quality care.
“Access to sustainable power is essential for healthcare centres to provide uninterrupted, life-saving care,” said Nosa Omorodion, Nigeria country director, SLB.
“SLB is committed to delivering impactful, lasting solutions in the communities where we live and work. Through our collaboration with ONE Campaign, we support Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure, ensuring these centres can provide continuous, reliable service to residents without disruption. Beyond enhancing the quality of care, we are also contributing to the broader goal of driving the shift towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future across industries,” Omorodion added.

Serah Makka, executive director for Africa, ONE Campaign, emphasised the importance of reliable energy in healthcare delivery.
“Ensuring reliable energy for healthcare facilities is crucial for improving healthcare delivery in Nigeria, especially in underserved and remote communities. This collaboration with SLB helps provide the foundation for consistent patient care, which is critical for saving lives. Beyond just powering medical equipment, this initiative supports a healthier, more sustainable Africa by incorporating sustainable energy practices into the health sector and transitioning to clean, climate-adaptable solutions,” she said.
According to the World Health Organisation, only 40 percent of healthcare facilities in sub-Saharan Africa have reliable access to electricity, underscoring the urgent need for sustainable energy solutions.
By addressing this challenge, the partnership between SLB and ONE Campaign ensures a stable power supply for healthcare centres, enabling uninterrupted medical services, safe storage of medicines, and the functioning of essential equipment.
The project underscores SLB’s commitment to sustainability and its dedication to driving innovative energy solutions. For ONE Campaign, the initiative marks progress towards improving lives across Africa, starting with Nigerian communities.
