Obijackson GMD, Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi, speaks at LSE Africa Summit

The Group Managing Director of the Obijackson Group, Ernest Azudialu- Obiejesi is scheduled to speak at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Africa Summit on Saturday 23 April 2016. In its third year, the annual summit is an assemblage of prominent business leaders, decision makers from an array of African governments, the private sector, as well as global collaborators working across Africa. Past speakers of the Summit include Yemi Osinbajo, Vice-President of Nigeria; Hon. Jean Louis Billon, Minister of Commerce of Cote d’Ivoire; and Acha Leke, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company.

The 2016 edition of the Summit, with a focus on Africa within a Global Context, will discuss how countries on the Continent can capitalise on opportunities and address challenges shaped by their position in a global context.

Azudialu- Obiejesi who will be on the energy panel along other accomplished individuals and business leaders, will discuss opportunities and challenges facing the Africa’s energy sector. His perspectives will reflect his several years of involvement in the Nigerian energy sector with references to his experiences managing arguably West Africa’s foremost wholly indigenous conglomerate which include Century Power Limited, Nestoil Limited and Neconde Energy Limited.

Azudialu-Obiejesi, reputed for his entrepreneurial prowess, has nurtured several businesses to success. He first founded Obijackson West Africa Limited in 1980 before diversifying into the oil and gas sector with the birth of Nestoil in 1991. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy an MBA from the University of Benin and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nigeria (UNN). A highly-sought after speaker with a deep knowledge of the Nigerian oil and gas sector, Dr. Azudialu- Obiejesi is a Director on the board of several companies including Julius Berger Plc, and is currently the Chairman of Smile Communications.
