International Breweries releases N100m as seed fund for Hero Apprenticeship Scheme

International Breweries Plc (IBPLC), makers of Hero, Budweiser, and Trophy premium lagers have celebrated some of its distributors for their contributions to the remarkable results recorded last year.

IBPLC also assured the distributors of its commitment to producing products that meet all legal requirements and of the highest quality standards.

Speaking at the recent event held in Lagos and Asaba, Hugo Rocha, managing director of International Breweries Plc, expresses appreciation to the distributors whom he described as ‘loyal and supportive partners.

“You have weathered the storm with us through difficult times and continued to prove yourselves, worthy partners, on this journey to consistently deliver great results for the company and our consumers. That is why we thought it fit to celebrate and reward you in our own way by asking you to be here with us today in an atmosphere of joy, celebration, and mutual appreciation,” Rocha says.

Carlos Coutinho, Lagos Transformation and High-End Director, International Breweries Plc, acknowledges the role of distributors as strategic trade partners in the organisation’s supply value chain.

He thanks the distributors for staying the course ‘on this long, often challenging, but no doubt rewarding journey to building an exceptional, impactful, and far-reaching brand.’

According to him, IBPLC recognises the effort of distributors in stemming the tide of employment in the country through job creation and getting the products into the hands of the consumers who reside in remote parts of the country.

“Our products are household names because of your support and dedication, and more than ever before, we are committed to improving our internal processes to help you achieve more,” Coutinho adds.
