FETS wins best mobile payment Technology Company of the year 2015

Fund and electronic transfer solutions (FETS) has received the award for ‘’Best Mobile Payment Technology Company of the Year 2015’’ from the Institute for Government Research & Leadership Technology as they held their 2015 African Governance and Corporate Leadership Awards on Friday, November 28th 2015.

The institute is a Federal Government of Nigeria registered project initiative of the African Foundation established by CAP 436 Law of the Federation of Nigeria 1990.

It is a non sectarian, not-for-profit educational institution with the aim of providing world class training and research services for the government, persons seeking elective positions and corporate citizens.

The award selection process involved an independent survey carried out by professional experts within the industry.

FETS was nominated based on its outstanding role in the financial services industry as well as some other key performance indicators including expertise in mobile money operations and management, mobile money infrastructural development, proficiency in body corporate payment solution technology, competence in electronic money transfer solution technology, high quality track record and value creation, promotion and implementation of best practice, company’s general performance and operational excellence, compliance with ethical codes and standards as well as local content development policy agenda and government regulatory laws and guidelines.

Since inception, the institute has recognized past awardees within the industry some of which include System Specs Limited-Remita who received the award for E-Payment Technology Company and United Payment Services Ltd.

The award was received by FETS Managing Director, Omotade Odunowo who stated that FETS remains focused on combining innovative technologies and solutions through transfer of money from one point to another (person, business, government) using electronic value of money via the most basic mobile phones, to achieve its mission of enhancing the lives of its customers by providing convenient, reliable and affordable payment solutions.
