A new report by the United Nations Development Programme released this morning has shown Nigeria’s Human Development Index (HDI) dropped by one position to 158 out of a total of 189 countries in 2018 from 157 in 2017
BusinessDay reports that the HDI report measured national achievements in Human Development Index in health, education and income/standard of living in 189 countries.
The report also showed that Nigeria’s HDI value for 2018 was 0.534 from 0.532 in 2017.
This puts the country in the low human development category.
