President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded the Pension Reform Bill to the Senate for consideration and enactment into law.

Jonathan also forwarded the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Bill for the Senate’s consideration.

This is contained in two separate letters from Jonathan and read by Senate President David Mark on Wednesday at the floor of the Senate.

The president also forwarded another letter requesting for the confirmation of the appointment of four non-executive members of the Board of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

According to the letter, the request follows the expiration of the tenure of some non-executive members of the board and the vacancy in the slot for the South-South zone representative.

“I write to forward the under-listed names for the kind consideration of the Senate in accordance with the provision of the CBN Act of 2007”, it read in part.

The nominees are Muhammed Kafarati (North-East), Collins Chikelube (South-East), Adaba Adeiza (North-Central) and Ayuli Jemide (South-South).
