Buhari presides over emergency FEC meeting on minimum wage bill

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over an emergency meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja

The meeting which commenced at about 3.05pm is aimed at fine tuning the arrangements for forwarding a Bill on the National Minimum Wage to the National Assembly for consideration and approval.

BusinessDay gathered that the meeting is part of plans by the government to avert pending threats of Labour unrest ahead of the 2019 general elections.

President Muhammadu Buhari took time to launch the new International Passport with 10 years validity before the commencement of FEC meeting.

The new Passport s expected to save Nigerians in the Diaspora frequent visits to Nigerian Embassies for renewal of Passports.

The new passport also has embedded enhanced and self-tracking of application, express center for urgent applications and is weather friendly.

The passport which complies with the latest ICAO standards, has other features such as Polycarbonate technology that eliminates damage and enhanced security features
