Eight ships laden with various products, including petrol, are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday.
The NPA, in a statement issued in Lagos, said that six of the vessels were waiting to berth with petrol.
It said that two other ships would berth with bulk fertiliser and general cargo.
The NPA noted that 31 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between June 8 and June 25.
“The expected ships are carrying buckwheat, containers with various goods, frozen fish, bulk fertiliser, pipes, base oil, empty containers, diesel and petrol,’’ it said.
