The Senate has concluded Second Reading of the N8.83trillion 2019 budget proposals and referred same to its Committee on Appropriation.
It also directed the Danjuma Goje-led committee to submit report on the budget bill for final approval within two weeks.
This followed an exhaustive debate on the appropriation bill on Tuesday plenary.
Senate President Bukola Saraki who presided over the session also urged all ministries and government agencies to show up at the National Assembly to defend the proposed budget for their agencies.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on December 19, 2018, presented the N8.83 trillion 2018 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly.
