Quality issue comes under focus at 2023 AQAA

Legit.ng moves to recognise business leaders

To deepen the conversation around quality and standards, stakeholders have concluded plans to engage professionals, practitioners and government on the issue of quality culture and management at the forthcoming African Quality Achievement Awards (AQAA).

The event is scheduled to be held this week and it will be attended by Hazza Khaifan Aineaimei; Chairman Dubai Quality Group; Celestine O. Okanya; Chairman, Pan Africa Quality Infrastructure (PAQI); Sandhya Boygah; DG Mauritius Standard Bureau, Raymond Murenzi; DG Rwanda Bureau of Standards and Lt. col (rtd.) Bernard.N. Njirani; MD Kenya Bureau of Standards.

According to Ifeoma Favour Emeka, Secretary, AQAA General Committee Chairman, in a statement, AQAA is an annual event initiated to celebrate leadership in quality management in Africa. It is aimed at identifying, recognising and rewarding companies and products that apply Quality Culture and Quality Management best practices in achieving their corporate objectives

She said, “As part of the event, we have the Africa Quality Congress (AQC), which is a forum of ideas dedicated to driving quality agenda. The congress is said to be an informative and inspiring day of new ideas, and stimulating debates. It will provide delegates with a greater understanding of how operational effectiveness and efficiency are vital to organizational success.”

Mrs Emeka revealed that a special publication for the event tagged “The Quality Standards Journal” is expected to be unveiled at the event. The publication is a collection item for all lovers of quality and standard in Nigeria.
