Carl Raccah, Managing Director ‘Pineapple Productions and Media Limited’ in the statement said, “The partnership with Adastra Development enables us to fulfill an important part of our mandate which is skills transfer. For this project, Mellie Buse and Martin Franks from Adastra Development are overseeing the entire creative process to ensure international production standards, but the sound-scaping, voice overs, music scoring, the animation itself and other elements for the short film will be created in Nigeria by Nigerians.

Martin Franks, Managing Director at Adastra Development says ‘We are so excited to be partnering with Pineapple to make high quality Nigerian children’s shows. Babba Da Jakka is the first of what we hope will be many ventures bringing together all our different talents and providing good TV shows for Nigerian children reflecting their lives and heritage. We believe this is important for all children and nations of the world but to be working in one of the most dynamic countries in Africa is a special opportunity and a great privilege.’

Leo Otobong Adam-Etuk, MD Nke Studios and the lead animator on the project, said the initial character design has started and the short film is scheduled for completion by September 12th 2021.
