Chaka Technologies Ltd, Nigeria’s first SEC-licensed digital sub-broker, has launched Hisa, a newly rebranded investment platform designed to broaden retail participation in capital markets in Nigeria.

The launch marks a strategic evolution for the company as it seeks to deepen investor access to regulated investment products while strengthening its position within Africa’s growing digital wealth management sector.

Hisa replaces the Chaka trading application and introduces a range of product enhancements, including a redesigned user experience, automated investing features, after-hours trading, integrated market research tools, and a simplified pricing model built around a flat 1 percent commission per trade.

According to the company, the platform will continue to provide access to securities listed on the Nigerian Exchange and and ETFs.

The rebrand reflects a broader pan-African strategy. The name Hisa, derived from the Swahili word for “shares,” signals the company’s intention to build a regional investment platform that can serve retail investors across multiple African markets.

Existing Chaka users will transition to the new platform without disruption, retaining access to their portfolios, transaction histories, and account credentials.
