Nigeria’s advertising industry is set to chart ways to reposition the industry especially in the face of economic pressure, evolving technology, shift in consumer  behaviour and clients demands.

This discussion under the theme: “Repositioning the Marketing Communications Industry for the Next Frontier” will top conversation at the National Advertising Conference slated later this year in Abuja.

The three day conference which will start on November 11, is expected to  bring together leading professionals across the marketing communications value chain – including advertisers, agencies, media owners, regulators, technology innovators, and business leaders – to examine the trends, disruptions, and opportunities shaping the future of the industry.

“As the marketing communications landscape continues to evolve amidst economic pressure, rapid digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and changing consumer behaviour, this year’s conference will serve as a strategic platform for meaningful dialogue, thought leadership, and industry-wide collaboration aimed at driving sustainable growth and innovation,” Tunji Adeyinka,  Chairman, National Advertising Conference Committee said in a statement.

He said the 2026 edition of NAC will feature insightful keynote sessions, high-level panel discussions, industry papers, and exhibitions centered on critical themes, including: – Is the Industry Ready for the Next Frontier? ; Rethinking Marketing Communications: The CMO’s Perspective; Is the Agency Sector Ready for the Next Frontier? ; The Future of Broadcast Media in Nigeria: Audience Measurement Systems; Regulation in the Next Frontier: Regulating Digital Marketing and AI in Nigeria; The Nigerian Creative Economy: The Place of the Advertising Industry; The Future of Awards in the Marketing Communications Industry.

Some of the lined up speakers include, Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation; Hannatu Musa Musawa,  Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy ;Olu Akanmu, former CEO of Opay and Executive in Residence, Lagos Business School  and Tony Agenmonmen, CEO, OE&E Consult.
