X3M Ideas donates reading hub to boosts literacy in Lagos public school

Steve Babaeko leads X3M Ideas, an urbane, youthful digital agency located in the Opebi area of Lagos State, as CEO/chief creativity officer. Babaeko has garnered about 18 years of hands-on experience in the industry, working on brands in some of the most challenging industries like telecoms, pharmaceuticals, foods and tobacco, and some FMCG brands, among others.

He started his advertising career in 1995, when he joined the MC & A Saatchi & Saatchi, working under the tutelage of Victor Johnson. He worked on brands like DStv Multichoice for five years while with the Troyka Holdings Company.

Steve left MC &A to pitch his tent with the fast-paced Lolu Akinwunmi’s Prima Garnet Ogilvy in 2001 as a copy writer, and rose through the ranks to become copy manager. At Prima Garnet, he also worked on brands like BAT, Multichoice, among others, and was exposed to some of the best tools and international training and exposure in the industry.

As a talented creative personnel, he became part of the pioneering team seconded to 141-Worldwide, a second line agency in the Prima Garnet Advertising Group in 2005 to give form and shape to the fledgling agency with Steve as the creative director.

As the creative/business director for the young and highly awarded 141-Worldwide, the dreadlocks wearing creative Babaeko was neck deep into most of the agency’s portfolio of clients and brands. Some of his landmark assignments for the agency include the launch and sustenance of the Etisalat brand in Nigeria, BAT business which came to the new agency from inception, DStv, First Bank, and a host of others.

Nine months ago, he stepped out to set up X3M Ideas, as a revolutionary digital agency of the future. The agency hit the ground running with major pitch victories. The agency impressive clientele parades brands and organisations cutting across industries. These include Diamond Bank, Etisalat, IFFCO and Inbisco (FMCGs). The daring creative works for its growing clientele speak volume about the agency knack for creativity.
