Legendary Foreshore, a construction and real estate company operating in Ghana and Nigeria, has delivered a Network Control Centre for Ghana’s Mineral Commission. The facility was commissioned on December 8, 2022, by Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
The centre is designed to monitor earth-moving equipment and explosive trucks in the mining sector. It supports the government’s efforts to improve safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in mining operations.
At the commissioning, Hon. Jinapor emphasised the importance of the facility in promoting accountability. “This Network Control Centre is a critical tool in our mission to ensure responsible and sustainable mining practices in Ghana. It demonstrates the government’s commitment to leveraging technology to promote safety and efficiency,” he said.
The facility enables real-time tracking of heavy equipment and explosives, ensuring regulatory compliance. It collects, analyses, and reports data to support safe mining operations.
Victor Ameh, Managing Director of Legendary Foreshore, expressed the company’s commitment to addressing challenges in key industries. “At Legendary Foreshore, we are committed to innovation and excellence. This project reflects our dedication to providing forward-thinking solutions that address complex challenges in key industries like mining. We are honoured to contribute to Ghana’s growth and development through this landmark initiative,” he said.
The project is expected to inspire similar developments across West Africa.
