La Casera shifts consumer campaign to UNILAG

As a means of reaching and engaging the core target of its newly launched theme campaign, “Share Your Apple Story, Be A Star” La Casera Company plc, maker of carbonated soft drink, La Casera Apple flavoured drink, held an experiential activation campaign inside the University of Lagos campus, Akoka.

The new theme campaign, which is mainly targeted at the youth segment of the market, was unveiled April 18, at a press conference held in Lagos. The road show activation drive kick started Monday, April 29, 2013, and would be visiting 18 campuses in nine cities across the country.

The La Casera team engaged the students in an activation event that entailed promoting awareness through jingles, fliers, banners, one-on-one interaction and product sampling. The event also involved inducing participation from the rather large and enthusiastic audience through music, dance competition and most importantly inviting people to share their own exciting apple stories, which was the high point of the eight hours show as many prizes were won.

Speaking during the event, Hogan Bassey, brand execution manager, La Casera, revealed that the idea behind the event was to increase the bond between the brand and its target consumers in an exciting way, and help them create their own apple story by bringing La Casera right to their very doorsteps.
