HP in multimillion naira consumer reward, sponsors winners on foreign trip

Hewlette-Packard (HP), Nigeria’s number one IT company, has rewarded winners with an all-expense paid trip to Seychelles for two and other exciting prizes in its recent promo that lasted from June to August 31, 2104, geared at rewarding customers who bought some eligible HP products.

This is said to be part of the ways to give back to customers who bought the HP products during the last few months.

Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony, Omotayo Omodia, trade marketing manager, printing and personal systems, HP, said after the promo, all raffle tickets were collected from all the HP offices in Nigeria, a raffle draw was conducted and 150 winners were selected to win various prizes.

According to Omodia, “Prizes given out include LED TVs, refrigerators, HP ink advantage printers, HP slate 10 tablets, HP slate 7 tablet and HP wireless mouse.”

The company’s objective is to continue to be the best IT firm in the world and move ahead of others, she said, saying that recently the company introduced a range of new products.

Tam Tamunokonbia, head, Lagos office for Consumer Protection Council, disclosed that unlike some companies who refused to register with CPC when promotions like this were on, HP registered the promo with them from the beginning, showing honesty and transparency.

Tam encouraged the company to keep up with its high standards it had built over the years, as the CPC, which seeks to the redress consumer complains, had never got a case of customers returning faulty HP products over the years.

Agbo Johnson, the grand prize winner, expressed his gratitude to HP for their transparency and honesty during the promo.

“Over a period of years, I have been selling HP products and what I observed is that HP products are very durable and technologically advanced. They always attend to their customers on time when they demand for products delivery,” Johnson revealed.
