FilmOne Limited has announced the repositioning of its Production arm to now function as an independent production label distinct from FilmOne Entertainment. Leading the team as the newly appointed General Manager is Mimi Bartels, who previously served as the Head of Production at FilmOne Entertainment and has a proven track record of overseeing successful film production projects, according to a statement.
Former Head of Distribution for FilmOne Entertainment, Ladun Awobokun, who has been instrumental in several successful distribution campaigns, including helping “Wakanda Forever” achieve the highest box office record in West Africa, has also been appointed as the General Manager for FilmOne Entertainment.

The production division (now FilmOne Studios) has established a reputation for producing and co-producing a number of highly-acclaimed feature films, including “Akin and Paw Paw,” “The Order of Things,” “Before Valentine”, “The Prophetess,” “Battle on Buka Street,” “My Village People,” “Sugar Rush,” “Merrymen,” and several others, the statement said.
