Driven by a strong desire to pursue quality education abroad, many Nigerians are seeking opportunities to study in international universities.
Significantly, the number of Nigerian students in the UK surged from 10,685 in 2017/18 to 44,195 in 2021/22, marking an impressive 314% increase. This growth is second only to India’s 517% increase. Notably, last year, Nigeria emerged as the third largest market for the UK, following China and India.
Moreover, Canada has become an attractive destination for Nigerian students, now ranking as the country’s fourth largest market with 45,965 students—a 322% increase since 2017.
Recognizing this aspiration, the Wellsprings School Support System (WSSS) has been instrumental in helping students realise their dreams of studying overseas. This effort is paying off as Nigerian student numbers in foreign universities soar.

Recently, the firm organised the WSSS International Education Fair (WIEF) in Port Harcourt. The fair connected students with representatives from top universities worldwide, providing invaluable guidance on navigating the complexities of international education.
