MAID (2021)
Having seen this series for ages, I finally decided to give it a shot, and I really can’t explain why I was so angry with this movie, yet I stayed on till the very end, I kept watching from episode 1, 2, 3 till I got to 7, I just couldn’t stop, the movie left this bitter, sweet taste in my heart, one that kept me thinking for days, how on earth can 1 person, be this unlucky and have all these numerous problems and issues, back to back with no break. That was the typical story of Alex, she was a very pretty, bright young lady with an amazing gift of writing, she even got a scholarship to further in college and a young damsel decided to throw it all into the thin air, all because of her love for Sean, who was a lazy guy who wouldn’t get serious with his life. The entire situation became a more complicated situation when she now added a baby to this messy relationship, Sean would abuse her emotionally and make her feel less of herself, she couldn’t go to the police to report as she had no bruises no evidence, but she felt totally chartered and destroyed as he kept bullying and threatening her on a daily basis. One faithful night Alex summoned the guts to pack her bag and leave with her daughter, they went from shelter to shelter, it was at this point she took on a new role as a maid and that was when the new dimension of drama and problems stared in life. You would need to go check out this series to see the entire problems Alex had to face from Sean, her dad, her mum, her employer and how she lost it all, a very touching and intriguing movie I must say, it really got me thinking how tough life could really be. The 10-episode series had about 48m in each episode, the series was created by Molly smith Whittet, they featured actors like Margarett Qualley, Andie MacDowell, Nick Robinson, Anika Noni Rose, Tracy Vilar, Bill Burke, Rylea Nevaeh Whittet and many more.
VANISHED INTO THE NIGHT (2024)
For some weird reasons, this movie reminded me about a movie called “Fractured” from 2019, you know those kinds of movies, you watch and at the end of the movie, you keep wondering to yourself, asking what exactly happened here, where is the story and the lesson from the story and you just try to move despite feeling really bad about it, well that was the typical case in this movie also. Riccardo Scamarcio played the lead role here, he was happily married to his wife, till they began to have issues and quarrel about the custody of the kids, one faithful day as they kids stayed over at his place, he went back to their room hours after he had tuck them to bed, to make sure they were okay, only to find out they were gone. This was when the main movie started as he and his wife went on wild goose chase looking for heir kids, Riccardo was willing to do anything and go to an length to find hid kids. Trust me I never expected that twist I saw at the end and that made me even more upset with the movie, maybe I expected something totally different and my expectations were cut short totally, seriously why will they both go to that length just to have custody of the kids, do check it out for yourself to see why I got really angry at the tail end. The 92m Italia, drama, thriller movie was directed by Renao De Maria, they featured actors like Riccardo Scamarcio, Annabelle Wallis, Massimilliano Gallo, Gaia Coletti, Lorenzo Ferrane e. t. c.
IN GOOD HANDS (2022)
This was a very simple Turkish movie, just sweet, slow and touching. They told us a story of a young lady who had a terminal illness, and needed to find a good man that will help her take good care of John when she is gone, she begins to search but ends up with a very rude, bossy and stubborn guy, who she likes dearly and reminds her so much of her son, well watch till the very end as the revelation would be one, you never saw coming, seriously what were the odds, you may ask, just like I did. The 105m Turkish, romantic comedies, drama, comedy, romance movie was directed by Ketche Hakan Kirvavc, they featured actors like Asli Enver, Kaan Urgancioglu, Mert Ege Ak, Ezgi Senier, Birce Irem, Sertac Guder, Gizem Ozmen, Latif Koru and many more.
