One of the leading Information and Communications Technology company, ipNX Nigeria, has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing digital innovation and business transformation as a sponsor of the 2026 Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) AI Summit held at Commerce House, Lagos.

The summit, themed “Adopting AI for Your Business: Nigeria Realities and Case Studies,” brought together business leaders, technology experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to explore practical approaches to Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption within Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape.

Speaking at the event, Leye Kupoluyi, LCCI President, represented by Deputy President Abimbola Olashore, highlighted the growing urgency for businesses to move beyond AI experimentation into enterprise-wide implementation.

According to him, “Competitive advantage will increasingly depend on how effectively businesses deploy intelligent systems rather than on scale or capital alone. The question before us is no longer whether to adopt AI, but how quickly and effectively we can translate adoption into productivity and competitiveness.”

Kupoluyi also noted that Nigeria’s AI market is projected to exceed $430 million by 2026, driven by growth across fintech, logistics, telecommunications, and digital services.

Representing ipNX at the summit, Segun Okuneye, Deputy Director, Strategic Business Initiatives and Chairman of the LCCI ICT Group, emphasized the importance of practical, locally relevant AI adoption strategies.

“The conversation around AI must move beyond global hype to practical implementation that addresses Nigeria’s unique realities. While challenges such as infrastructure gaps, talent shortages, and regulatory concerns exist, they also present opportunities for innovation and collaboration,” he said.

Okuneye further noted that Nigerian businesses are already applying AI across sectors including financial services, retail, agriculture, and telecommunications, particularly in fraud detection, customer insights, demand forecasting, and network optimisation.

“As businesses increasingly embrace AI-driven systems, the focus must now shift toward building sustainable adoption frameworks through contextual innovation, capacity building, and stronger collaboration between government, private sector players, startups, and academia,” he added.

As one of Nigeria’s pioneering technology companies committed to enabling digital transformation across Nigeria and Africa, ipNX continues to support initiatives that drive innovation, knowledge-sharing, and the adoption of emerging technologies that enhance business resilience and economic growth.
