The GRC & Financial Crime Prevention Awards has announced its plans for the 2024 awards ceremony and summit, set to recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding expertise and leadership in GRC and financial crime prevention.

As it enters its fourth year, the GRC & Financial Crime Prevention Awards and Summit aims to celebrate and recognize exceptional expertise and leadership in governance, risk management, compliance, and financial crime prevention.

The event is designed to inspire and educate attendees by providing a platform for sharing innovative strategies and best practices. It will also foster valuable networking opportunities, encouraging the exchange of ideas and collaboration among professionals from various industries.

Additionally, the summit seeks to raise awareness about the critical importance of implementing robust GRC frameworks and effective financial crime prevention measures.

By establishing benchmarks for excellence, the event will motivate others to achieve similar levels of success in these vital areas.

Voting will commence from August 1st to September 24th, 2024, with the event scheduled for November 8th, 2024, at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Foluso Amusa, convener and host of the GRC & Financial Crime Prevention Awards and Summit, stated: “We remain committed to recognizing and celebrating exceptional expertise, courage, and achievements in governance, risk management, compliance, and financial crime prevention.

“Our mission continues to champion effective best practices in GRC, alongside robust anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism measures within organizations in Nigeria.

“I eagerly anticipate celebrating the accomplishments of our winners and finalists and am excited about the ongoing impact of this initiative in promoting a culture of compliance, risk management, and governance excellence across Africa and beyond.

“This year, we will also recognize and celebrate organizations from new sectors, including Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, Public Sector, Health and Care, Legal, and Real Estate. These additions reflect our commitment to a comprehensive and innovative approach to integrated GRC and financial crime prevention.”
