Lagos-based data intelligence firm BeamX Solutions has surpassed 200 comprehensive business health assessments for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Africa,
marking a significant milestone in its effort to help African businesses leverage data for growth.

The proprietary assessment evaluates companies across four critical pillars: financial health, operational efficiency, digital maturity, and growth potential, then delivers a prioritised, data-backed improvement roadmap.

Internal data from 67 client follow-ups between May and October 2025 showed that businesses implementing the recommended changes achieved an average 28 percent improvement in operational efficiency.

“We’ve trained our model to carefully assess the position of every business based on their responses and provide strategic direction with a roadmap to implement the recommendations,” said Obinna Nweke, Founder and CEO of BeamX Solutions.

“We’re cutting through the noise by showing owners exactly where they’re losing money or time,
ranked by impact.”

E-commerce dominates demand, representing 62 percent of assessments completed to date, followed by retail, professional services, and manufacturing. The tool is specifically designed for the African operating environment, factoring in mobile-first customer behaviour, fragmented logistics networks, and local payment realities.

Lagos-based furniture and interiors brand Maple Maven Design is one of the early success stories. “The assessment revealed the strengths and weaknesses of the business,” said

Emeka Dioha, CEO of Maple Maven Design. “By following the 90-day roadmap, we reduced operating costs by 15 percent and significantly improved order fulfilment times within the first three months.”

BeamX offers a freemium version tailored for early-stage startups, with paid tiers unlocking deeper analysis, industry benchmarks, and ongoing support.

The company plans to launch sector-specific versions of the assessment for fintech, e-commerce, and hospitality in 2026, with ambitious targets of completing 1,000 assessments and delivering actionable data insights to 10,000 African SMEs.

In addition to the assessment platform, BeamX provides managed data intelligence services, automation consulting, and bespoke AI solutions to clients in Nigeria, the United States, and
internationally.
