The MSME Institute of Management and Professional Studies (MIMPS), a partner of Prowess University, Delaware, USA, recently held its 3rd Annual Leadership Summit, where 19 Nigerians received Honorary Doctorate degrees.

The Conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees was at the Julius Berger Hall, University of Lagos.

The event, themed “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on National Economic Growth and Welfare: The MSME Perspective,” brought together thought leaders and trailblazers in academia, business, and governance.

The December 2024’s ceremony recognised 37 outstanding individuals, including two academic awardees and 19 honorary doctorate recipients, for their contributions to various sectors.
Speaking at the event, the Registrar of MIMPS, Dr. Alphonsus Okeoma, highlighted the rigorous selection process and the significance of the awards:
“This year’s ceremony celebrates excellence, innovation, and commitment to driving growth and development. The honorees exemplify the values of leadership, integrity, and a relentless drive to inspire positive change across sectors. We are proud to recognize their remarkable contributions to society.”

One of the awardees, Adeyeri Jerry who received the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA), expressed his gratitude and shared his aspirations:

“I am deeply honored and excited to receive this prestigious recognition from Prowess University and MIMPS. This Doctorate fuels my resolve to leverage my expertise to elevate marketing communications in business administration, champion cultural narratives, and continue driving impactful change across industries. This is not just a celebration but a call to do even more.”

The event was a testament to the commitment of both MIMPS and Prowess University to recognising and fostering exceptional talent.

As part of its ongoing initiatives, MIMPS announced its upcoming Fellowship Investiture and Executive Development Workshop for Public and Private Workers, scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2025.

The virtual workshop, focusing on key topics such as emotional intelligence, operational excellence, and strategic public financial management, promises to enhance productivity and decision-making skills. Participants will also gain access to internationally recognized certificates and valuable networking opportunities.
