Ibukun Awosika, chairman, FBN Capital Limited, and CEO, Sokoa Chair Centre Limited, will be the chief speaker alongside other panellists to address ‘Development strategies for job creation and economic growth at the 31st Omolayole Management Lecture series put together by the AIESEC Alumni Nigeria.

The programme, scheduled for October 2 in Lagos, aims at developing youths and seeks to showcase some solutions to the problem and ideas that can be looked into in the country’s economy.

According to a release by AIESEC, there will be a pre-lecture competition that will serve as a platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and win great prizes.

The panellists for the competition are Adetunji Adegbesan, Bunmi Otegbade and Adekunbi Adeoye, who are social entrepreneurs.

The pre-lecture interactive session segment of the event, which is now in its third year, allows participants – drawn from budding entrepreneurs, students in secondary and tertiary institutions, to meet and collect relevant information from a diverse group of experts connected with the theme of the lecture.

This year’s edition will commence by 11am on the same day and venue of the main lecture with a workshop. The session will also feature finalists from the “Big Idea Challenge,” which aims to promote business ideas and strategies among young entrepreneurs.

The Omolayole Management Lecture series organised in honour of Michael Omolayole, a pioneer president of Chartered institute of Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPM), will be hosted by the Nigerian Institute of Management.
