Ricardo Young, serial entrepreneur with eyes constantly on the next opportunity

Ricardo Young

Ricardo Young, an African-American serial entrepreneur and owner of Victory Restaurant and Lounge, is a man of great ideas who never takes his eyes off the next opportunity.

“I have always had a love for the ‘hustle.’ Anyone who knows me knows that I’m constantly working, thinking of new ideas, looking at the next opportunity,” Young reveals in an interview.

With hands-on experience in human interaction, organisational behaviour, art, and real estate, he has introduced many new business models throughout his career.

The visionary knowledge business owner and real estate expert says he really feels that commitment to excellence is what has got him this far.

Young, who started as a footballer, has also helped young men lay their blueprint for a career in football, and with aim that he could impact more lives, he shifted focus to his future business endeavours.

“I got into real estate development and quickly became a serial entrepreneur, opening a number of businesses, including Victory Restaurants,” he says.

As a serial entrepreneur, Young spent his career on not only attaining his goals but also on attaining goals for others. His success hinges on his wealth of creative know-how and experience.

Born and raised in Northwest Washington, D.C. in the Morton St. Projects, Ricardo grew up playing football and school was always important to him. He went on to attend Virginia Tech and UMD on full athletic scholarship. He was more appreciative to have the opportunity to earn three degrees in Business and Finance. That explains his love of football combined with his business background that led him to enter the NFL agent business.

Young’s biggest goal is to continue to grow his business, expand his restaurant to provide jobs to so many people and bring something new to the community.

“My vision is to continue opening restaurants – Victory Restaurant & Lounge is coming soon in D.C. – and you never know which city I’ll head to next. I’m extremely proud to have a black-owned business with a very diverse staff that welcomes such a wide array of customers,” he says.
