The book, according to Adeodokun, is premised on the relatively obscure nature of the director’s role in the filmmaking process and the need to celebrate the women who are making Nigeria proud on this front.

Dignitaries expected at the event include Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos; Toyin Saraki, wife of Senate president and president, Wellbeing Foundation Africa; Omolewa Ahmed, wife of Kwara State governor; Onofiok Luke, speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly; and Hadiza Bala Usman, managing director, Nigerian Ports Authority.

Others are Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, vice-chancellor, Kwara State University; Wale Adenuga, chairman, Wale Adenuga Productions; Bernard Bankole, president, National Association of Nigerian Travel Agents (NANTA), among others. Muli-talented artiste Femi Jacobs will host the public presentation, which is scheduled to take off at 12 pm, while the book will be reviewed by Toni Kan, a writer.
