I sincerely have a problem when the hype created by a movie becomes way better than the movie itself. This is absolutely one of those movies, movies where you ask yourself what happened here and you can’t just seem to explain the unrealistic nature of the movie. “OMG” this was the feeling we got from this movie. Now to the big question “what were the producers of this movie thinking when they decided to shoot yet another Jason Statham movie”?, “did they not know that they had to beat our expectations or just leave it at the last one?”, but no, they just decided to shoot another one. Ok so who told them that they could ever make Jason Statham a ‘romatic guy’?, come to think of it, I just haven’t ever really seen him being romantic, I just don’t think that’s the role for him, they should have left him the cruel action fighter that he was maybe that would have been much better for me. Please why were some of the action scenes so unrealistic, please now, they can’t always fool us like that now, please keep it simple and make it look real. This movie just didn’t kill it for me, far from it after all the hype and buzz — hmm I am still wondering why I was allured to seeing this, but anyway remember the saying that if you didn’t see it, you won’t have a story, that was exactly my case in this movie.

The 1hr 40 mins movie was just ‘ideal’ because we were already getting bored and just needed to go home and rest. The movie looked so long like it wasn’t going to come to an end because we were all tired of the lies. Some of us felt that there was really no need to have shot this movie as our expectations were not met at all, not to even say surpassed. It almost looked like an error, there was just something wrong about the movie, the tricks, action and storyline suffered from an epic disjoint. This wasn’t just right for me, there were so many scenes where everyone was asking “How now?” , please it was so unrealistic, we know it was a Jason Statham movie but then they could have made it better instead of so many unreal scenes.

The movie featured award winning act like Jason Statham, Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba and many more.

To the movie proper, it was obvious the movie was shot at a very beautiful location in Brazil, serene was magnificent, the view and water side was lovely. Bishop wanted to leave a cool serene life so he moved to Brazil to hide and change his identity to avoid any other killing. Little did he know that one of the bad guys was searching for him to do one last job so he could be let alone, he tried running but got caught and was cajoled into killing 3 bad guys so he could free the beautiful damsel he fell in love with at the beach. After killing 2 of the guys, he decided to strike a deal with the 3rd bad guy when he realized what Crane was using him for, Crane wanted to eliminate all his competitors and at the end kill Bishop too. So when he realized, he decided to go kill crane once and for all. It was a serious battle at the end and luckily, he was successful but then, I had one observation, where did Bishop always ‘resurrect’ the same bag from? Well, that kept me curious till the end.

To my verdict this movie deserves a 4/10 for being a Jason Statham movie and falling short of everyone’s expectations. Please I need to know what the producer was thinking when he decided to have another part of this movie. They could have left it as it was. Well, if you do want to go see it, just in case you might have a different judgment to mine, then that is fine. I am not sure I can recommend this movie.
