Aspira unveils Davido as Face of Viva brand

Aspira Nigeria Limited, a leading household and detergent manufacturer, has unveiled Davido as the brand ambassador of Viva, its flagship detergent brand.

David Adeleke, CEO, Davido Music World, an award-winning Nigerian musician, who stages as Davido, signed the ambassadorship contract agreement with Aspira Nigeria Limited at Radisson Blu Hotel Anchorage, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday.

The event, which was witnessed by the entertainment media, also saw Davido being unveiled officially as the face of the detergent brand.

Viva, a laundry sanitizer detergent powder, is a product of Aspira Nigeria Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of detergents in Nigeria, amid other products sought-after because of their high quality.

However, Aspira’s endorsement of Davido affirms the company’s recognition that the Nigerian-born artiste is currently the biggest singer in Africa. It is an indication that the brand ambassador commands millions of fans in Nigeria, Africa and the world.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Southtosh Kumar Nair, marketing manager of Aspira Nigeria Limited, explained the company’s choice of Davido as the Face for Viva, saying the multi award-winning singer has a global acceptance with over 30 million followers on social media.

“We decided to choose the prolific singer, Davido, because of his dynamism, popularity with youths and his highly disposition, which has put Nigeria on the global music map.”

Nair noted that Davido is a good ambassador of Nigeria and is making the country proud both at the local and global music scenes.

“Davido is making Nigeria proud through his music. He has contributed immensely to the development of the entertainment industry in Nigeria and has continued to inspire millions of Nigerian youths”, he said further.

Nair hopes that his company’s partnership with Davido would impact positively on the Nigerian society, which is the organisation’s core value.

Speaking at the event, Bobo Ajudua, manager, Davido Music World, said the partnership between his organisation and Aspira Nigeria Limited is a privilege that would benefit both parties.

Ajudua explained that Davido is endorsing Viva based on the value, which Aspira is providing.

Ajudua gave an insight on why Davido decided to endorse Viva as face of the brand.

“We did a research on Aspira before we took a decision that it is a brand that will support an average Nigerian and our economy”, he said.

He further added: “Other values we share with Aspira include youth empowerment and Aspira has engaged in several youth empowerment initiatives, which made us believe in the company.”

The Davido Music Entertainment myanager told the audience that his company also made a discovery that Aspira is engaging in education rehabilitation programmes in Kano by providing education to young people in the state.

Environmentally, Ajudua said that Viva, which is a relatively new brand, is eco-friendly, hence would help to reduce the risk of COVID19 pandemic.

He asked Nigerians to patronize the product because of its economic value. There were series of photographs with Davido displaying the Viva brand for public view and acceptance.

In his acceptance remarks, Davido noted that he accepted to endorse Viva products because of their high quality and the focus of the company on friendly environment and empowerment of Nigerians.
