Democracy day: Nigerian National Legacy Awards unveils prize for Business Excellence

Nigerian National Legacy Awards (NNLA) as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 22nd Democracy day, has unveiled a Prize for Business Excellence in Abuja.

The awards known as Nigerian National Legacy prize for Business Excellence is aimed at celebrating notable Nigerians who have in no small measure contributed endlessly to the growth of Nigeria’s business community and economic advancement.

Ovie Odubu, executive secretary of the honours and awards committee of the NNLA while speaking at monthly briefing in Abuja said the awards hopes to shine a spotlight on some of the quiet achievements of entrepreneurs, managers, owners and founders across the country.

Odubu noted that whilst it is certainly a challenging time for businesses of all shapes and sizes, there are still causes for celebration to be found in every industry and sector.

According to Obudu, “Once again, it has been an absolute pleasure to find out how these achievers continue to innovate and create in their respective industries. The initiative endeavour to recognise those that are and have been doing, incredible things,”.

After all, success can be found anywhere whether a large international conglomerate or single-person firm, Odubu emphasised while taking a moment to discuss the success of some of the Nominees already penciled down for the prestigious award and profiling.

“Now in its eleventh year, the Nigerian National Legacy Awards are the cornerstone of annual celebratory programmes profiling some notable Nigerians who have written their names boldly on the sands of time.

The Nigerian National Legacy Awards prides itself on the validity of its awards and recipients. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work Odubu said.
