NAFDAC assures small business operators on prompt product registration

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has assured small business operators of its readiness to support the registration of their products to meet acceptable standard by prompt registration and regulation.

Paul Orhii, the agency’s director-general at an open-day/stakeholders’ forum under its small business support desk programme, said the registration process has been streamlined for easy registration of quality products, adding that it is now possible to have approved products registered within 90 days.

“NAFDAC is here to assist you do your business right. This is how we want you to do it, we are emphasising how you should do it, that is why we bring our staff members to show you how to do it right, we provide opportunities for you to learn to safe your time and money”, Orhii said.

Giving reasons why the registration process has been streamlined, he said it was to help business operators in negotiating bank loans to fast track the marketing of their products but added that those insisting on faster registration would have to pay additional fee
