The ancient Moroccan city of Marrakech will host some of Africa’s most influential leaders, investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers as preparations intensify for the 2026 edition of the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit.
The summit, scheduled for June 26 to 28, 2026, will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi in Marrakech, Morocco, bringing together stakeholders from across Africa and the diaspora to discuss the continent’s economic transformation, investment opportunities and leadership development.
Organised by the Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation in collaboration with 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa, the summit has continued to gain prominence as a continental platform focused on celebrating African excellence, promoting strategic partnerships and advancing sustainable development.
Organisers said the 2026 edition is expected to attract an influential mix of government officials, business executives, diplomats, innovators, development institutions and investors seeking to shape Africa’s economic future and strengthen regional cooperation.
The summit will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, policy dialogues and investment-driven networking sessions aimed at fostering collaboration and unlocking opportunities across critical sectors of the African economy.
According to the organisers, discussions during the summit will focus on sustainable economic growth, cross-border investment and trade, youth empowerment, innovation, governance, transparency and Pan-African cooperation.
Kingsley Amafibe, Project Director Africa, the organisers said Africa possesses enormous natural and human resources capable of positioning the continent competitively on the global stage if supported by strategic partnerships and deliberate investment.
He noted that the platform is designed to connect governments, private sector leaders, investors and development partners in ways that can drive practical outcomes and long-term economic impact.
A major highlight of the event will be the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons Africa Honours, which recognises individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and impact in areas including business, entrepreneurship, governance, diplomacy, humanitarian service, technology, innovation and community development.
According to the organisers, the recognition programme has become one of the summit’s defining features, with recipients regarded as influential figures contributing to Africa’s growth and global relevance.
“Beyond the awards and recognition, the summit is also expected to serve as a strategic investment and partnership platform where participants can explore collaborations across industries such as finance, agriculture, healthcare, education, aviation, infrastructure, technology and the creative economy”, he stated.
Amafibe added that the event would provide African entrepreneurs and innovators an opportunity to showcase their ideas, attract investors and gain international visibility.
