‘The Diligent Worker,’ a new book written by Evi Constance Omagbemi, dwells on the principles to achieving excellence at work and life.

The book, which was launched recently at the Mike Adenuga Centre in Lagos, also serves as inspiration and motivation to chase after excellence in a godly manner.

‘The Diligent Worker’ discusses the 12 principles of diligence, including vision, hard work, focus, authenticity, values, consistency, networking, and balance, in order to consistently deliver exceptional results in the workplace and live fulfilled lives.

The book can be ready by anyone, regardless of their background or social standing.

Omagbemi, the winner of the NIMASA Employee of the Year award for 2019, is a Nigerian lawyer and public servant with over 15 years of experience in various fields such as litigation, legal advisory, company secretarial, shipping, policy, and strategy.

The book, subtitled ’12 practical principles to achieve excellence at work and life,’ was dedicated “In loving memory of my father, Young Daniel Igbrude,” and reviewed by Reuben Abati.

Yinka Sanni, the Chief Executive of Africa Regions at Standard Bank, wrote the foreword and praised the book as providing “inspiration and motivation to chase after excellence in a godly manner.”

She said, “I am delighted to recommend this book to anyone, and honored to have written the forward. The book provides inspiration and motivation to chase after excellence in a godly manner. If you find the discipline to put into practice even half of the principles, you will not only find good success but you are likely to become distinguished at work and in life. The nuggets at the end of each chapter of the book are a veritable summary of the chapter and should remind you of the critical points made therein.”
