Zenith Bank, in a filing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday, said its first-half pretax profit rose to N57.86 billion ($357.5 million),  an increase of 11 percent from the N52.09 billion it recorded a year ago.

Gross earnings rose to N184.4 billion during the six month to June 30 from N171.0 billion a year earlier.
