There are realistic fears now in Adamawa that the opposition PDP might unseat governor Bindow led APC in Adamawa state if the results of the National Assembly elections is anything to go bye.
The opposition PDP has maintained a steady rise as it has clinched two of the three senatorial seats in the state and grabbed four of the eight house of representatives seats, all previously held by APC in the state.
The PDP beat two incubent APC senators, Binta Masi Garba and Moallayidi Ahmed, as Binos Dauda Yero and Cliff Ishaku of the PDP trashed APC office holders from the northern and southern senatorial zones respectively to assert the party’s revival in the state.
Declaring the result of the southern zone in Numan, the Returning officer, Adamawa south zone, Joseph Apagu Tanko of Modibbo Adama university, Yola declared Binos Yero Dauda of the PDP as winner having polled 164, 741 as against APC’s, Ahmed Moallayidi, who polled 118, 209.
Reacting to the victory, Binos Dauda said, “My victory is dedicated to the people of the zone and the victory is a strong sign of unity among diverse ethnic groups in the zone.
“For a very long time this zone has not had representation and we will make the voice of our people heard.”
Binos also commended the people  for conducting themselves in a the a peaceful and orderly manner and dedicated the victory to them.
Binos had earlier critisized the APC for failing to stand up for the people of the zone in the heats of relentless wave of herdsmen attacks.
Cliff Ishaku of the PDP has also thrashed APC’s Binta Masi who was seeking for a return ticket to the Senate while Aishatu Dahiru Binani clinched a consolatory victory for APC by winning the central senatorial seat.
Below are the details of the results:

APC 188,526

Results for the house of representatives shows that the PDP has also gained ground against the APC by wining four of the eight house of representatives seats in tbe state against previous standings where APC has all the eight house of representatives members.
The results shows
Kwamoti Laori (PDP) (Numan, Demsa, and Lamurde)
Gibeon Goroki (PDP) (Guyuk, Shelleng)
Saidu Mustapha (PDP) (Fufore, Song)
Zacharia Nyampa (PDP) (Michika, Madagali)
Shuibu Abdulrahman (APC) Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha)
