The Military has reacted to the postponement of the general elections that was slated for today the 16th of February.

“The postponement has nothing to do with security so we don’t have any issues with it.” The Director of Defence Information (DDI) Brigadier General John Agim told BusinessDay.

On what will happen to soldiers who have been deployed to strategic places for the election he said.

“They will remain there till after the elections.”

INEC’s decision to postpone the elections has attracted a slew of criticisms from political parties and Nigerians alike.
