Buhari arrives Lagos amid tight security, road closures

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Lagos ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign taking place at the Teslim Balogun stadium later today.

At about 10 o’clock the Presidential jet was seen making its way to the parking bay at the MMIA. The President shortly after descended from the stirs amid cheers from party supporters.

The Lagos state government had earlier announced the closure of 18 roads in the commercial capital and an unusual presence of heavily armed personnel from the different security agencies in the country.

On Friday, trailers that usually cause traffic gridlock on Apapa roads were cleared by military personnel.
