Reps: APC loses 2 federal lawmakers to CUPP

No fewer than two federal lawmakers on Tuesday formally announced their defection to the Coalition for United Political Party (CUPP), from All Progressive Congress (APC).
They are: Ahmed Chachangi, a former APC Kaduna state and Sani Rano, from Kano state, respectively.
The announcements were made separately during the investigative public hearing in to the ‘All sums due to Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)’ held at Conference Room 0.28 New Wing of the House of Representatives complex, Abuja.
Recall that key lawmakers from reformed All Progressive Congress (R-APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and 34 other political parties had on Monday held at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre, resolved to form alliance against APC held ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
In attendance at the mega meeting are: former President Olusegun Obasanjo-backed African Democratic Congress (ADC); PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Former Senate President David Mark; R-APC Chairman Buba Galadima; Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP), National Conscience Party (NCP), Labour Party, and a host of other newly registered parties.
