Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources on Monday said that collaboration among Africa countries is the pathway way to Sustainable Stability of the Africa oil sector.

Kachikwu at the ongoing Nigeria International Petroleu summit-an African Petroleum and Business Conference said there is continuous need for countries with crude resources to collaborate to enhance productivity and enhance the growth of Africa.

He said,”There is an increasing need for countries with resources to collaborate with each other for effective production but that does not mean that the resources should be given out freely but in ways that creatively generate value for such resource”.

He stressed the need for the countries to identify and address the challenges surrounding the oil business sector so as to create a more conducive environment that can attract investors.
He said “We need to sit down and address the challenges surrounding the oil business sector, we must create an environment where people believe that we are in business and we are ready for the business.
He however stated that with the ongoing policies by the Nigeria Government, Nigeria will become the major supplier of crude oil in Africa with integrated refineries that will enhance the production of high quality product for the entire continent and others.

“I see a future with the policies we are laying now in the sector, where Nigeria will be the major supplier of oil in Africa, with integrated refineries and processes that will lead to production of high quality products and creation of jobs.
” As we all know, we are gradually moving to the era of less utilzation of crude as a means of generating energy, as technology is fast growing so there is need for us to follow the trend in growth of technology.

Bechir Madet, minister of petroleum and energy of the Republic of Chad stressed on the need for collaboration among countries adding that Chad is open for investment.
Stuart Symington, United State Ambassador to Nigeria said there is need for the government to invest in building the capacity of the people stressing that there is no place that can be successful without it’s people.
“The future of the Nigeria is it’s people, there is no place that can be successful with out the people, so we can’t talk about the country’s growth without investing in the people”.

“When we have security in our lives it solves a lot of issues. The same way collaboration is needed is the same way we need to build ourselves today”. He added.
