The Federal Government on Monday morning formally announced the proposed closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to repair the runway.
The Minister of aviation, Hadi sirika who announced this said the airport would be closed for six weeks between 12 midnight on Tuesday March 7 and April 19, 2017 to enable the proposed repair.
Sirika also assured both the international and local community  that the airport will not close beyond six weeks as earlier announced by the government to open to traffic.
