Algerian striker El Arabi Hillel Soudani says his national team is confident ahead of their 2018 World Cup qualifier away to Nigeria later this month.
The Super Eagles will host the Fennec Foxes in the second matchday of Group B. The West Africans lead the group with three points after their win away to Zambia, while Algeria and Cameroon have a point each after their draw in Blida.
Soudani, who scored the goal in his side’s 1-1 draw with Cameroon, believes Algeria have nothing to fear ahead of their match in Uyo on November 12.
“We conceded a draw at home against Cameroon and allowed two precious points [to slip away],” Soudani told Croatian reporters ahead of his club side Dinamo Zagreb’s Champions League match this midweek.
“The next match will take us in Nigeria, who come from a victory in Zambia. So we know that our mission will be very difficult, but if we can come back with a good result, our chances will be revived.
“We’re really confident. We will prepare thoroughly in Nigeria and we will see what will happen. “
The other Group E match on the same day sees Cameroon host Zambia in Limbe.
