Barely 24 hours to the Edo state governorship election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised the alarm that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are being bribed to write results of the yet to be conducted election by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“There is an authentic information at our disposal that the top official is the Coordinator for INEC in their compromising the Supervisors and is sharing the sum of N2million each to supervisors in nine local governments.
“The said official is under the control of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) from one of the neighbouring states and their activities is being coordinated by an INEC National Commissioner”‘he said.
He however warned that the PDP and indeed Edo people would resist attempts by INEC officials acting in concert with the Edo state government and the APC to write results ahead of the election.
